 What is Black Currant? Black currants are dark purple berries from a shrub with an often bitter taste, and commercially used for flavorings, jams and jellies.
Where does Black Currant grow? Native to European countries, and widely used in flavouring drinks. Today it is marketed as a healthy food source.
Benefits: It provides for a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants. As having natural diuretic properties, it helps to cleanse of certain toxins from the human body. Recent studies have attributed black currant to being able to slow down the degenerative Alzheimer's disease.
