 What is Wild Yam? This climbing vine produces a root similar in appearance as potatoes. However, it cannot be eaten like potatoes.
Where does Wild Yam grow? Plant is native to North and Central America.
Benefits: Wild yam seems to relax muscles and reduce inflammation when the affected area is rubbed with the cream form. Native Americans valued its pain relieving properties.
Precautions: High dosage can result in stomach upset, nausea and diarrhea.
